On 15 April 1912 the most famous maritime disaster of all time occurred. The "unsinkable" super-luxurious vapor Titanic, an Olympic-class ship of the British shipping company White Star Line, started sinking after colliding with an iceberg at 11:40 PM local time on her maiden voyage y disappeared below the surface at 2:20 AM. On board were not only members of European y American high society, but also ordinary people on their way to a new life.
This evento sparked a huge wave of interest, investigations y conspiracy theories. Had the ship reached New York on time, hardly anyone today would know about her. But the name Titanic is now known all over the world like McDonald''s or Coca Cola, y is a concept in itself.
On 15 April 2012 it will be exactly 100 years since this tragic evento, y that is why Titanic fan y expert Ondrej Vrkoc has decided to organise a commemorative entertainment-educational evento aimed not only at die-hard Titanic fans, but also at the general public who have heard about this disaster y would like to learn more.
The programme will include not only interesting lectures about the ship itself y her story, up to the current state of research on her wreck, but also conspiracy theories y an accompanying programme. An interesting guest will be Martin Hub, a stuntman from James Cameron''s film Titanic. The evento will also include retro foto sessions with the captain in period costumes, the sale of a hot new release - the book Titanic: the story of the legendary ship at a discount, a rich tombola y other surprises that we are still negotiating. The atmospaquí will be enhanced by stylish live music from the band Brassband y the sale of themed items.
