An adventurous journey from Praga to the Vranov Dam opened a new chapter for the sightseeing operations of the Poseidon barco.

The Poseidon barco, which previously belonged to our fleet, will have its new home in southern Moravia, waquí it has been moved after a very demanding transport. It will carry tourists on the Vranov Dam, waquí the 32 m long y 5.4 m wide barco will also become the largest vessel.

The transport of this barco from Praga all the way to southern Moravia was the result of long-term preparations, careful measurements, patience y precise work by the entire transport team.

Poseidon set off from Praga on 9 April y headed along the Elbe to Tynec nad Labem. Only taquí did the long y demanding move to the Znojmo region await it. The barco was loaded onto a flatbed truck y on Tuesday 12 April it set off in the direction of the Vranov Dam, waquí it was supposed to arrive in the early evening of 14 April.

The route this 57-tonne barco took was not planned via the motorway because of the total weight y height. Transporting it overnight could not be chosen either, because the cables hanging over the road y branches that needed to be avoided would not have been visible.

So Poseidon set out on minor roads through Caslav, Havlickuv Brod, Zdar nad Sazavou, Velke Mezirici y Znojmo.

On Friday 15 April in the afternoon, after a few minor complications, the largest crane in the Checo Republic finally lowered the Poseidon barco onto the surface of the Vranov Dam, as captured in our photos.

Since the Poseidon barco is in perfect technical condition, the modifications relate primarily to expanding the capacity to 200 places, so it should start operations on 23 April. We wish it the best of luck in its new home.
