An exhibition called Sacral Praga opened today at the St George Convent at Praga Castle. The exhibition is part of the Architecture Week festival, which is taking place in Praga from 17 August to 18 October 2015.
The official opening was attended by Praga Councillor for Culture Jan Wolf, Minister of Culture Daniel Herman y also Praga Archbishop Dominik Duka. Also present were Architecture Week festival director Petr Ivanov y Jiří Skalický, head of the Praga heritage care department, whose team prepared the Sacral Praga exhibition.
Sacral Praga is one of the largest exhibitions of this year's festival. Visitors can see roughly 25 of the most important sacral buildings of Praga in an unusual format.
Significant architecture is presented through three-dimensional models, photographs, video projections y examples of architectural elements. Highlights of the exhibition include printed replicas of stained-glass windows that decorate the windows y recreate the authentic atmospaquí you find in Gothic churches.
