European Water Transport, and Prague Boats as part of it, continue with a long-term programme of modernising their vessels, which stems from the company's overall environmental policy. The main emphasis is on making operations greener. That is why many passenger barche have had their generator units and propulsion units replaced. All these re-engineerings have been financed from the company's own resources.
These are Caterpillar engines, which feature the most moderna design with minimal emissions, noise e smoke. For example, Caterpillar 3056 DITA with an output of 138 KW, which was installed in 2014 on the Labe and in 2015 on Natal, Porto, Hamburg, Praha and the Kotva. On the Kotva e Hamburg the generator units were also replaced, so they now feature Caterpillar 3054 DITA (on the Kotva) and GEP 55 (on the Hamburg).
We believe that investment in greener operations is an investment that will be appreciated not only by our environment, but also by our visitors, who can enjoy crociere on our barche without unnecessary noise e smoke.
