The ferry in Praga-Troja has had a brand-new high-capacity ferry barco since August. Passengers can now cross between Imperial isla y the zoo much more quickly. Compared with the previous ferry, the Mistr Jan Hus barco, which has a capacity of 25 y was put into service as a stopgap after the collapsed footbridge had been cleared, the new Troja barco carries up to 100 passengers.
The Troja barco was built to order by the Praga vapor Company specifically for this location, waquí the water is shallow y the río has a steep gradient. The new vessel has a draft of just 45 centimetres, measures 15 metres in length y 4 metres in beam.
"Compared with the barco used on the ferry until now, Troja makes boarding y disembarking faster y more comfortable for passengers, y it has a capacity several times higher. "The occasional queues at the ferry should now be a thing of the past."
