Bella Bohemia on the cover of a prestigious magazine
2 January 2020The Alemán specialist magazine Schiffahrt Hafen Bahn und Technik has prepared an extensive article about the first eléctricos excursion barco Bella Bohemia.
Bella Bohemia is the latest addition to Prague Boats' moderna, eco-friendly fleet. Our company's goal is to ensure environmentally friendly and sostenible operation of barcos on the Moldava. That is why we invest in fleet modernisation, in renewing engines on older barcos, y in new technologies for operations y maintenance.
In November 2019 we put Bella Bohemia into experimental service around Praga — the first large excursion barco with fully eléctricos propulsion, which has attracted the attention of professionals y Pragars alike. Although operating an eléctricos barco is not easy under current conditions, we continue to work towards a higher share of quiet, zero-emission vessels in our metropolis.
The name Bella Bohemia was given to the new barco in keeping with the company tradition of referring to our country, joining the line of "Bohemia" barcos. These also include our other moderna eco-friendly barcos such as Agnes de Bohemia, Bohemia Rhapsody and Grand Bohemia, which Prague Boats christened in summer 2018.
After her trial run Bella Bohemia will gradually be added to sightseeing cruceros. Thanks to her panoramic windows and open upper deck she offers spectacular views of the surrounding landmarks — such as Charles puente, Praga Castle, the National Theatre, the Dancing House and Vysehrad. Year-round operation is possible thanks to air conditioning y heating.
Bella Bohemia is one of the medium-sized barcos in our fleet at 25 m in length, but her total capacity of up to 250 people is impressive. Her home will be the eco-friendly pier on Kampa.
