Prague Boats operates the most moderna fleet of barche in Praga, including elettriche-powered vessels. We regularly invest in fleet renewal e fit older barche with new moderna engines that release fewer pollutants in their exhaust emissions.

Because we want not only to protect our environment but also to actively contribute to improving it, we decided to plant trees, which capture vast amounts of emissions in nature.

During photosynthesis, trees absorb carbon dioxide from the air e release oxygen back into it. In a single year, 100 m² of mature forest absorbs the same amount of carbon dioxide that one car produces on a trip to Croatia. Now imagine how much carbon dioxide will be absorbed by the 10,000 trees we planted in the Central Bohemia Region! When planting, we respected the natural species composition of the forest, made up mainly of oaks, beeches, ashes, larches, pines e firs.

In addition to absorbing carbon dioxide, trees can capture fine dust particles, which are carcinogenic, e cool down their surroundings. These qualities are particularly invaluable in cities. That is why you can see mature plane trees at our new boarding pier next to the Grand Bohemia on Dvořák lungofiume e on the Primátor Dittrich seating barge on Rašín lungofiume. This year alone we have planted 40 plane trees on Prague Boats pontoons — the ideal urban species thanks to their resistance to air pollution.
