A tradition that brings together water, safety and the joy of cruising — this year, too, we were happy to send out a boat for the young campers from the ranks of the Prague 1 youth firefighters. Cruising has been a regular part of their summer programme for years, and we're glad we could once again be there.
The boat Agnes de Bohemia set out onto the Vltava — a modern, quiet vessel with a capacity of up to 100 people, which Praguers know well thanks to her distinctive design and all-glass roof. Agnes de Bohemia is not only one of the fastest boats of her size (up to 20 km/h), but also very gentle on the environment — she sails almost silently and with minimal emissions.
Prague Boats and the volunteer firefighters of Prague 1 are linked by a long-standing partnership and a special relationship with the Vltava river. The Prague 1 district, stretching along both banks of the river, plays a key role in flood protection of the historic centre. The volunteer firefighters, whose work began after the floods of 2002, today actively look after safety in the most sensitive locations, such as Žofín and Kampa.
Thank you for your trust — we look forward to more cruises together!
