There's always something happening around the Vltava, and especially on Sunday 22 September. Mark this date in your calendar and head down to the river with the whole family.
To mark World Rivers Day, the multi-genre festival Discover the Vltava will take place that day. It uniquely brings together more than 35 institutions based around the Vltava and will be the largest of its kind in Europe.
From Podolí Waterworks all the way to the Old Wastewater Treatment Plant in Bubeneč, more than 80 activities will be on offer. For one day only, the banks of the Vltava will come alive with a unique mix of fun and discovery. Places normally closed will open their gates. The riverside embankments will burst into dance with creative workshops and games for children. And renowned experts will introduce you to the river as you've never known it.
Prague Boats is proud to be part of this great event and, in addition to its regular boat line to Prague Zoo under the flags of the Prague Steamboat Company, will also offer a special line cruise just for this day.
On the route Holešovice Station – FHS – Wastewater Treatment Plant – Imperial Island – Holešovice Station, a special line cruise will run all day long.
