Many people came yesterday to say their final goodbye to the recently deceased President Vaclav Havel, whose life journey was symbolically concluded by a boat cruise carrying floral offerings that thousands of citizens had brought to his coffin.
The boat sailed at ten o''clock in the morning from Rasin Embankment and reached Melnik in the evening, from where it will continue to Roudnice nad Labem, Litomerice, Lovosice, Usti nad Labem and then to Decin.
The Luznice boat was accompanied as far as Prague''s Stvanice by several other boats, including the historic Vysehrad steamboat. On board the Luznice were Havel''s close friends and his wife Dagmar.
