For one May evening the electric catamaran Anna Carolina turned into a place where diplomacy, politics and business came together.
At Prague Boats' invitation, the deck welcomed representatives of more than 20 embassies, senators, members of parliament, representatives of ministries, members of the Prague City Hall leadership and prominent figures from business, transport, architecture and public administration.
An informal space where formal cooperation is born
The meeting was neither a conference nor a round table. It was natural networking, allowing guests to share experiences, open new topics and make new contacts in an environment that encouraged open dialogue.
“It was refreshing to meet outside of offices — without microphones, but with a view of Prague Castle and a shared interest in what is changing around us and where we can head, both as a country and as companies,” said one of the guests.
The topics? Wide-ranging and important
The conversations turned to the future of cities and transport, to sustainability, but also to innovation, education and architecture, and to how to better connect the public and private sectors.
There was also the question of how to make greater use of water transport in the framework of smart, zero-emission mobility, and how international cooperation can deliver concrete progress at both regional and national levels.
Boats connect
Our vision is simple: boats have their place in modern transport. Not just as a romantic way of getting around, but as a practical, environmentally friendly and natural part of city infrastructure.
The meeting on Anna Carolina showed us that there are more and more like-minded people and institutions — and that it is precisely these connections that give rise to new ideas and solutions.
