On Tuesday 16 June, the opening of the exhibition The Art of Steamboat Navigation on the Vltava River 1865 - 2015 took place. The exhibition was prepared jointly by the Prague Steamboat Company and the National Technical Museum in Prague. The festive vernissage was held in the transport hall of the National Technical Museum.
The exhibition, which commemorates 150 years of passenger boat transport on the Vltava, will be open to the public from 17 June to 28 September 2015.
At the exhibition you can see models of steamers, period materials such as documents, film footage and more. The exhibition also includes a painting gallery on the theme of steamboat navigation, by painters Jakub Schikaneder, Bohumil Kubišta and Josef Šíma.
