The Last Visa - press conference aboard

Today a press conference was held aboard the Bohemia Rhapsody, officially announcing the start of another Czech-Chinese co-production. It was preceded by the animated series Krteček a panda and the contemporary Prague romance Jen my víme.

The newly prepared film, or rather series, will be titled The Last Visa. Filming begins on 16 September and will take 130 days in Prague, Liberec and Plzeň.

The story is set in 1930s and 1940s Europe and is based on a true event. The main character is the Chinese ambassador to Austria, who, like Oskar Schindler, issued visas to thousands of Jews and helped them leave Europe. He was rightly nicknamed the Chinese Oskar Schindler.

Czech and Slovak actors will appear alongside their Chinese colleagues, including Natalia Germani, Kateřina Sokolová, Jan Révai, Vlastina Svátková, Otakar Brousek Jr., Jana Bernášková, Zdeněk Maryška and others.
