The only Czech hotel boat Florentina embarked on a show cruise yesterday from Nymburk to Poděbrady. This year Florentina will sail regularly from Prague to Litoměřice and Poděbrady making a total of 21 journeys.
The Florentina caters for Swiss and German tourists, mostly pensioners. She holds up to 96 passengers, and has a crew comprising of more than twenty members. Last year, the Florentina embarked on 12 weekly cruises, this year the number will be almost doubled.
The Florentina was built in 1980 in Berlin and served as a botel on the Rhine and Danube. In 2008 she was bought by the European Water Transport company and completely reconstructed ready for a new era of travel. The boat successfully operates today and was sold last year to the Swiss Thurgau Travel Company.
Our long-term goal is to build a modern and wholly ecological fleet. This trend continues this year...
