Our boat Valencia hosted on 15 March 2013 a meeting of representatives of the incoming section of the Association of Czech Travel Agencies and Tour Operators and other guests from the tourist industry in the Czech Republic.
The afternoon programme started in the remarkable Karel Zeman Museum, which is located in the Saxon Court at Kampa in the Lesser Town, in close proximity to Charles Bridge andČertovka. The Karel Zeman Museum presents a fascinating interactive exhibition dedicated to the lifelong film work of this pioneering Czech director. His film works such as Journey to the Beginning of Time, Invention for Destruction or Baron Munchausen made him famous not only in our country but also abroad.
After visiting the museum, the participants moved by the boat Elektronemo to the dock at Kampa, where our restaurant boat Valencia was waiting and they set off on a sightseeing cruise. During the cruise on the Vltava, the guests listened to very interesting lectures on current topics of incoming and tourism in general.
It is precisely this cooperation with the Karel Zeman Museum that will be one of the novelties of this year's season; visitors will be able to sail by the solar boat Elektronemo along Čertovka as part of a museum tour.
Elektronemo is a unique vessel, the first of its kind on the Vltava, powered by an electric motor fed from solar panels on the boat's roof. Our company places great emphasis on the eco-friendly operation of all the boats it operates.
