For the first time this year, on Wednesday February 15, another of the COT discussion breakfasts took place on the Bohemia Rhapsody. On the boat moored at Dvorak Embankment, from 9:00 to 11:00 the topic discussed was Tourism in heavily visited destinations.

The focus was thus not only on Prague, but also on other places in our country, which definitely do not suffer from a lack of tourists. Among other things, the participants sought answers to questions of how to explain to residents the benefits of tourism, how to attract tourists outside the heavily visited tourist centres, and how to attract a more affluent clientele. The issue of tourist information centres was also discussed.

The given topics and others were discussed by: Eva Kislingerova, deputy mayor of MHMP for finance and budget; Nora Dolanska, director of Prague City Tourism; Jiri Skalicky, director of the heritage department of MHMP, Petr Kulhanek, mayor of Karlovy Vary; and Jan Hlavac, president of the Association of Tourist and Information Centres.

We look forward to our boats hosting more such meetings this year.
