The Ice Kingdom has docked on the Vltava River

Sometimes it only takes a little to turn an ordinary Saturday into a small celebration. The right place, the right people… and a boat that knows how to create the perfect atmosphere. That’s exactly what happened aboard the Grand Bohemia, where we welcomed the stars of the Karlín Music Theatre on the occasion of the premiere of the musical Frozen.

This time, however, it wasn’t a traditional press conference. It was more of a gathering that felt closer to a friendly evening than an official event. At a time when rehearsals are reaching their peak and the entire theatre is living the story of Arendelle, time seemed to pause for a moment – and the magic of Frozen made its way onto the Vltava.

On board, there was exactly the kind of atmosphere we love on our boats. Relaxed, warm, full of laughter. Our guests’ taste buds were taken care of not only by our catering, but also perfectly complemented by wines from Vajbar Winery, along with the legendary open-faced sandwiches from Libeřské Lahůdky. And although it was pleasantly warm on the boat, the vibe was so lively that there was singing and dancing too. Because when theatrical energy meets the river, it’s impossible to stay still.

And to be clear, the actors definitely didn’t stop at conversation. It turned out they have talent beyond the stage as well. The sporting showdown in “žehling” at Petra’s ice rink, right on the Vltava, brought plenty of laughter, healthy competition, and proof that the stars of Frozen can handle seriously slippery terrain.

But then came a moment when the atmosphere gently softened. In the magical setting of the light park Europe – Story of Lights, a musical performance was presented by Inez Ben Ahmed and David Gránský. And right there, the evening shifted from a beautiful experience into something deeper.

Together with Eva Burešová and other colleagues, they received a large box of Squishmallows plush toys, which will be donated to children at the oncology department in Motol Hospital. A moment that showed fairytales don’t exist only on stage – but also in real life, where they can bring joy and hope to those who need it most. And a reminder that happiness is most valuable when we can pass it on.

This evening reminded us once again why we do what we do. That a boat is not just a means of transport. It can be a place for meeting, emotions, and stories. And that just like Frozen, cruises with Prague Boats can inspire both young and old alike.

Because sometimes Arendelle isn’t hidden in a fairytale.
Sometimes, it’s anchored right on the Vltava.
