This Wednesday, 14 March, another of the Czech Post stamps was unveiled and officially launched on the Bohemia Rhapsody boat.
The historic paddle steamer Vyšehrad and the Franz Josef I steamboat had previously been included in the series; today the same honour was given to the Vltava steamboat.
In 2013 the Vltava steamboat, together with the Vyšehrad, was added to the list of cultural monuments of the Czech Republic, and her inclusion in the transport-themed stamp collection is yet another tribute to this remarkable piece of marine engineering. The beautiful stamp comes from the studio of Milan Bauer.
The launch of the new book The History of Timber Rafting in Bohemia by Jiří Svoboda was also part of today's event.
