We watched the partial lunar eclipse from the embankment

Our dinner cruises ended with a romantic viewing of the partial lunar eclipse, with the Moon hanging above the Old Town Bridge Tower.

All the romantic souls and astronomy fans on board were able to round off last night's evening cruises by watching the partial lunar eclipse — and those with sharp eyes and a bit of luck even spotted Jupiter and Saturn.

Our Prague by Night dinner cruise and the Crystal Dinner on the glass-roofed Grand Bohemia ended at the very moment the partial lunar eclipse began over Prague. The maximum phase of the eclipse, when more than 60% of the Moon's diameter was hidden in the Earth's shadow, occurred half an hour after the Lužnice docked and the guests of the Sweet Prague gourmet cruise disembarked. At that time you could also spot the planets Saturn and Jupiter to the right of the Moon.
